The Distillers are a NHL expansion team based in Louisville, Kentucky. Louisville is often considered the bourbon capital of the world, as Kentucky produces about 95% of the world’s bourbon and the city plays a major role in the industry’s history and culture. Because of that strong connection to distilling, thats where the name “Distillers” was chosen to reflect an important part of Louisville’s identity.
